- Detective quizzes: short, shareable tests about your instincts and observation skills.
- Riddles and logic puzzles: quick challenges for a coffee break.
How we make our content
Every case, character and story on RiddleRove is original fiction. Names, places and events are invented, and any resemblance to real people or situations is coincidental. We write and test each mystery so that it can be solved by careful reading and logic alone.
Why we make mysteries
A good mystery is a small act of trust between the author and the reader: every clue you need is on the page, and the answer is fair. We love that feeling of leaning back and realising that the one detail you skimmed past was the key all along, and we want to give it to as many people as possible in a few minutes at a time.
How a game is built
Each case starts with a culprit and a method, and then we work backwards: which alibis can be true, which statements must contradict each other, and which single question reveals the lie. We then test every case by playing it several times with different questions, to make sure a careful player can always reach the right answer and a careless one cannot get there by luck.
How the quizzes are built
Our quizzes are written for entertainment and self-reflection. They borrow ideas from everyday psychology, such as decision styles, stress reactions and team roles, and turn them into short, readable profiles. They are not psychological tests, and they are not a diagnosis or professional advice of any kind.
What is coming next
We are adding new cases, more quizzes and quick riddles on a regular basis. If there is a setting, a type of puzzle or a personality topic you would like to see, tell us on the Contact page; reader ideas shape what we build next.
How the site is funded
RiddleRove is free to use. The site is supported by advertising, which helps us cover hosting and keep adding new cases. You can read how advertising and cookies work in our Privacy Policy.
