About this quiz
Our detective games are full of memorable suspects: a cold, composed widow's sister, a haughty opera singer, a blunt stagehand, a breathless supply-boat girl and a crisp gallery owner. They each protect something, and they each tell a very different kind of story.
This quiz borrows five of them as personality archetypes. You answer ten quick questions about how you act, speak and handle a secret, and the closest suspect is revealed, together with their strengths, their weak spot and how they would behave at a dinner party.
None of these suspects is the culprit in their game. If you want to see them in action, you can interrogate them yourself in the free mystery games on RiddleRove.
What this quiz measures
Every classic whodunit has a suspect who stays calm, a suspect who talks too much and a suspect who hides something small but important. This quiz borrows characters from the RiddleRove games and asks which suspect you would be if the detective came to your door.
How to read your result
Your result is one of five suspects from the Manor Mystery, each with their own manner under questioning. It is a fun way to compare how people would behave in the same situation, and a good conversation starter after you have played the game.
The 5 possible results
- Lady Marlowe: Composed, cool and impossible to rattle. Lady Marlowe, the widow's sister from The Manor Mystery, never loses her composure. Neither do you, at least not where anyone can see it.
- Madame Duvall: Dramatic, magnetic and always on stage. Madame Duvall, the opera singer from The Midnight Express, takes up a room just by entering it. You have the same gift: people notice you.
- Tom Brandt: Blunt, practical and impossible to fool. Tom Brandt, the stagehand from The Final Curtain, says what he sees and does what needs doing. You share his refusal to dress things up.
- Nell Carrow: Quick, warm and always a step ahead. Nell Carrow, the supply-boat girl from The Last Light, runs on energy. She hears everything, goes everywhere and talks fast. So do you.
- Ms. Hartley: Polished, organised and in charge. Ms. Hartley, the gallery owner from The Gallery Gala, runs every room she is in. You may not hold the title, but you like things done properly.
